We did not use any business development programs for the company. We did certify iRule
for SBITC investor tax credit for our investors. Who was your first customer and where did you find them?
Our first customers were fellow audio/video enthusiasts and found us from our discussion on an online forum. To date, the vast majority of our customers are from word of mouth from the online forums. Where did you find your first employee?
Our first employee was found online and is now in the process of moving back to Michigan. Have you promoted an intern to employee status, and if so how many times have you done it?
We have not yet started working with interns. Where have you turned to find capital to grow your company and which institutions have provided it?
iRule is mostly self funded but we used Michigan based angel investors and one local venture fund. What are some of the advantages to doing business here?
Since both founders are Michigan based, our connections and resources are mostly from Michigan. As a result, Michigan was a natural choice to stay and grow the business. If you could change one thing about this region, what would it be?
